Professional skills and experience practice (research and manufacturing practice) Master’s Degree

The research and manufacturing practice of the 1st year of a master’s degree (6 weeks) is conducted according to the individual program. The purpose of the practice is to collect, analyze and summarize scientific material, develop original scientific proposals and scientific ideas for master's thesis, developing skills of independent research work and participation in the work of research collectives, as well as to form skills on the organization of recreational areas and activity.

The research and manufacturing practice is a type of educational work aimed at expanding and consolidating theoretical and practical knowledge obtained by a master during the course. The materials taken by a master in the research and manufacturing practice should serve as the basis for a master's thesis.

The practice is carried out at the department conducting a master's training, or at scientific divisions of the university, or on a contractual basis in outside organizations, enterprises, and institutions carrying out professional scientific and research activities, where it is possible to study and collect materials necessary for writing master's thesis.

The research and manufacturing practice relies on theoretical and practical knowledge acquired by students during the course. By the beginning of the practice, students already command popular scientific and professional competences, so they may be eligible for the practice.

During practice, students receive individual tasks from their supervisor which must solve specific objectives of the research. The research is carried out using modern methods of processing, analysis, and interpretation of multilevel and diverse geographical information in scientific research.
