In 2014 Kyrgyz epic "Manas" has been translated into the Yakut language and Yakut epic "Nurgun Bootur the Swift" - into the Kyrgyz language. Translations were implemented and funded under the project of NEFU Olonkho Institute. The epic "Manas" was translated into the Yakut language by Gurinov A.G., Petrova T.I. and Kirillin T.S. and translation of olonkho into Kyrgyz was made by Sharshenaly Abdylbaev.
The outstanding result is the completion of the olonkho translation "Nyurgun Bootur the Swift" into English and publication in London in 2014. This is the most famous and great heritage of the Yakut heroic epic, consisting of 36 thousand lines of poetry.
During the translation work, a common approach to the development of the translation strategy into English was defined, based on an interdisciplinary methodology (translation linguistics, cultural linguistics, ethnolinguistics, stylistics), typology of translation features of toyuk songs in olonkho by P. A. Oyunsky.
Also, olonkho translation of "Ala Bulkun" by T. Zakharov – Cheeby`s into Russian and Turkish continues. It is planned to translate and publish olonkho "Er Sohotoh" by V.O. Karataeva into English.
