North-Eastern Federal University reminds about the competition of nominations for young researchers of the university. The winners will receive the grand prize - MacBook Air.

You must provide indicators on scientific activity for the period from January 1 to December 31 in order to participate in the competition. The criteria for participation are the number of publications, participation in conferences, the availability of results of intellectual activity and the availability of grants won - the results for 2021 are accepted.

“The competition will be held in two rounds: the first among departments, the second - universitywide. The grand prize for each nomination is a MacBook Air laptop provided by NEFU Endowment Fund. We announced the start of the competition on the Day of Russian Science, and we will sum up the results on this day in 2022,” said Svyatoslav Fedorov, head of the Department of Youth Science Development of NEFU Department of Science and Innovation.

One of the priority areas of NEFU Endowment Fund is to support scientific research, added Director Evgenia Argunova. In 2013, part of the income received from the formed endowment for the first time was used by the fund to support young postgraduates. “Since then, every year, the income received from the fund finances research projects and expeditions, internships and participation in conferences of young scientists, defense of candidate and doctoral degrees of our employees,” she said.

The competition will help to motivate and inspire young researchers for new achievements and discoveries, according to Evgenia Argunova: “Research can last for years, and it is science that needs a sustainable source of funding for centuries, which is NEFU Endowment Fund”.
