NEFU staff completed professional internship at PJSC GAZPROM

Staff of the Department of Subsoil Resources Management of the Faculty of Geology and Survey at North-Eastern Federal University completed a professional internship at the production facilities and departments of Gazprom VNIIGAZ and Gazprom Energoholding. The internships of the teaching staff help to improve the quality of the educational process at the university.

“Last year, due to the pandemic, some of our internships were canceled and postponed. This year, our department staff received the necessary amount of materials for teaching and research work. Agreements on further joint work have been reached. Internships of the department staff continue according to the schedule,” said Nikolay Timofeev, head of the Department of Subsoil Resources Management.

“The internship took place at the metrological service Mosenergo CHP-9. The company is engaged in ensuring the uniformity of measurements and metrological control. The work started at the calibration laboratory of the metrological service, we were given a tour of the main facilities of CHP-9. I got acquainted with a new gas turbine unit manufactured by Ansaldo Energia (Italy). The materials will be used in the educational process as a special section of the graduation thesis,” said senior lecturer Maria Zakharova.

The internship schedules for the staff of the specialized fields “Oil and Gas Engineering” and “Oil and Gas Equipment and Technology” are approved annually under a cooperation agreement between NEFU and PJSC GAZPROM and are held on relevant research and production topics.
