NEFU athlete Petr Konstantinov won the bronze medal of “Yashar Dogu” tournament in Turkey

The international tournament in memory of the Turkish wrestler, world champion, European champion and Yashar Dogu Olympic Games in Istanbul is completed. First-year student of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of North-Eastern Federal University Petr Konstantinov won the bronze medal.

According to the winner of the championship, there were 16 athletes in his weight category - up to 57 kg. “The competition was held at a high level. Had four fights. All were difficult, lost to the opponent only in the semifinals. I think that I lost because of my mistakes. I will correct them in the future,” said the student.

Now the athlete is preparing for the XXXI International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament Grand Prix Series “Ivan Yarygin”, which will be held in Krasnoyarsk from January 23 to 26. “I did not have enough experience for the gold medal. Lost to the opponent that previously was defeated. I’m not very satisfied with the results - I will improve them in Krasnoyarsk,” commented Petr Konstantinov.

Let us remember that Viktor Rassadin and Aryan Tyutrin competed together with Petr Konstantinov. Viktor Rassadin also won the bronze medal in the 70 kg weight category.
