NEFU violinists performed a concert in South Korea

As part of “Middles” quartet, students of North-Eastern Federal University performed a concert in Seoul, Gochang, Busan, Boson, Yangpyeong in South Korea, according to NEFU Cultural Center "Sergelyakhskie ogni".

According to the information of the cultural center, the quartet "Middles" consisting of students of NEFU Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies Irina Pavlova and Darya Kuzmina, a student of NEFU Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science Sargylana Vinokurova, and third-year student of Yakutsk Financial and Economic College Marianna Ivanova, performed with an orchestra from the conservatory of Vladivostok and Novosibirsk in South Korea. “Students of our university study at our center. This is a great opportunity to express yourself creatively, to show your skills,” said Svetlana Nikiforova, director of NEFU Cultural Center “Sergelyakhskie Ogni”.

According to Sargylana Vinokurova, a student of NEFU Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, the student group of violinists played in a symphony orchestra with professional musicians under the guidance of honored conductors from Novosibirsk and Korea. “We performed the works of great classics and national Korean music. This trip really gave the opportunity to plunge into the difficult, but such an interesting life of artists - rehearsals, performances, spectator ovations, night trips from city to city by bus and rehearsals again,” said the musician.

She noted that the opportunity to travel appeared thanks to the participation in the rector's review, which is held in CC "Sergelyakhskie Ogni". “For us, it was an incredible experience to perform on the same stage with professional orchestras. Besides concerts and performances, we were able to admire the beauty of Korea, its manufacturability and goodwill, see the main sights, try the local food, talk to real Koreans and just relax. We will remember this trip forever! We thank the leadership of the cultural center for this opportunity. Thanks to the professor, conductor No Te Chol for help, support and faith in us,” said Sargylana Vinokurova.
