On July 30, the results of the National University Ranking, compiled by “Interfax” Information Group and “Echo of Moscow” radio station, were published. North-Eastern Federal University was ranked 29th to 32nd among the best universities nationwide, two positions up from last year.

The 2020 National University Ranking included 337 universities, institutes and research centers.

The activities of universities were evaluated according to six main parameters: "Education", "Research", "Socialization", "Internationalization", "Innovation and entrepreneurship" and the evaluation of the university brand.

Sources of data on the activities of universities are the results of university surveys, materials from the university websites; data, published on specialized websites of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; public reports of universities; Rospatent data, databases developed by Interfax: SPARK and SCAN, as well as international databases, websites: www.supercomputers.ru, parallel.ru, www.top500.org, kon-ferenc.ru, konferencii.ru, Alexa, SimWeb.

NEFU consistently ranks high in the parameters "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" and "Socialization".
