Russian version

Since 1993, a regional conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North" has been held biennially in Yakutsk in memory of the outstanding scientist and science organizer, the founder of thermophysics in Yakutia, the RSFSR and YASSR Honored Scientist, Professor, Doctor of Engineering Nikolai Sergeevich Ivanov. Under his leadership, a whole galaxy of talented scientists grew up, successfully continuing the work started by the Teacher. The conference has its own scientific traditions and is a platform for communication and experience exchange of leading scientists and specialists, and for professional growth of young scientists, postgraduates and students. The Conference is organized by the Department of Heat and Gas Exchange Processes of the V.P. Larionov Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North and the Department of Thermophysics at the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University.

    Since 2009 it was decided to expand the conference's topic and change its name "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Power Engineering in the Far North".
In 2019, the status and topics of the conference were expanded to the All-Russian level with international participation and the Permafrost Institute named after P.I. Melnikov of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. P.I. Melnikov Institute of Permafrost Science SB RAS held a scientific and practical conference entitled "Thermal Physics and Energy of Arctic and Subarctic Territories" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous scientist, thermal physicist and permafrost scientist, Dr. Reva Ivanovich Gavriliev.

      July 14, 2021 would have been 85 years since E.A. Bondarev, Honoured Scientist of Russia and Yakutia SSR, Honorary Scientist of Russia, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor, a renowned scientist in the field of fluid and gas mechanics, thermal dynamics and hydrate formation in hydrocarbon production and transportation systems, mechanics of rocks, study of thermophysical properties of substances. Taking into account his great scientific and pedagogical contribution, it was decided to broaden the conference theme and to hold it for the 15th time under the title "Topical Issues of Thermophysics, Power and Gas Dynamics in Arctic Conditions".

      I Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in Conditions of the Far North", 1993.

On the initiative of Yakutsk State University and the Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North, YaNTs SB RAS, it was decided to hold the first scientific and technical conference devoted to the memory of Professor Nikolai Sergeyevich Ivanov, an honored worker of science of RSFSR and YASSR. Twenty reports were heard and discussed.

The collection of conference abstracts was published.

     II Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions", 1995.
Students of Yakutsk State University and young scientists and specialists of IPTPS SB RAS took part in the conference. Chairman - Dr. E.A. Bondarev. 23 papers were presented and discussed. A collection of conference abstracts was published.

     III regional conference "Modern Problems of Thermal Physics in Extreme North conditions", 1997.

The 22 reports were heard and discussed. The collection of theses of the conference was published.

     IV regional conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in Conditions of the Far North", 1999.

The fourth regional conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North" heard and discussed 26 reports that presented the results of research conducted at YSU, SB RAS academic institutions and industrial institutions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on modern problems of thermal physics in the North and covered the main directions of applied and fundamental thermophysics and problems of heat power. The Chairman was S.P. Shkulev, Head of the Department of Thermophysics of the Faculty of Physics, YaSU, Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers "Research on thermophysical problems of the North" was published.
V regional conference "Modern problems of thermophysics in the Far North conditions", 2001.

In the beginning of December, 2001 in Yakutsk the V Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern problems of thermophysics in conditions of the Far North" was held.

Nineteen papers were presented and discussed. With a certain degree of convention, all the papers were divided into two groups: mathematical modelling (chaired by Dr. E.A. Bondarev) and experimental research (chaired by Dr. A.M. Timofeev). The reports are characterised by an integrated approach to the processes in technical devices and natural phenomena under study, in which theoretical analysis is organically combined with field or laboratory experiments.

      VI regional conference "Modern problems of thermophysics in the Far North conditions", 2003.

In December 2003 the VI Regional Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions" was held. Representatives of YSU and three scientific institutes (IPTPS, IMZ, IGDS SB RAS) took part in the conference. A total of 25 reports were presented and discussed. Chairman - Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Ai. M. Timofeev. A collection of the reports was issued.



      VII Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermal Physics in the Far North conditions", 2005.

The VII Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions" was held in December, 2005.

      VIII Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions", 2007.

In December, 2007 the VIIIth Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions" was held.

     IX Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Engineering in Conditions of the Far North", 2009.

In December, 2009 the IX Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics in the Far North conditions" was held. We have heard and discussed 23 reports in two sections: theoretical problems of thermophysics and mathematical modelling (chaired by Professor E.A. Bondarev) and experimental studies in thermophysics and thermal power engineering (chaired by Assistant Professor A.V. Stepanov). X regional conference "Modern problems of thermophysics and heat power engineering in the Far North conditions", 2011.

On December 7, 2011 X Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermal Physics and Heat Engineering in Conditions of the Far North" was held. 17 reports were presented and discussed. Chairman - Professor, Dr. N.A. Savvinova. The collection of conference proceedings was published, which reflects the results of research conducted in the RS(Y) by three generations of researchers, teachers and engineers belonging to the scientific school of N.S. Ivanov (https://www.elibrary.ru/item.asp?id=28870301).

     XI Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Power Engineering in the Far North", 2013.

In December 2013 XI Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Power Engineering in the Far North" was held. 17 reports were heard and discussed. Chairman - Associate Professor, Doctor of Engineering A.M. Timofeev. A CD with the conference materials was issued.



                    XII Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Power Engineering in the Far North", 2015.

In December 2015 the XII Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern problems of thermophysics and heat power engineering in the Far North conditions" was held. 28 reports were heard and discussed.  Chairman - Dr. E.G. Starostin, moderators - Professor, Dr. E.A. Bondarev, Dr. N.A. Savvinova.

     XIII Regional Conference "Modern Problems of Thermophysics and Heat Engineering in the Far North", 2017.

In December 2017 the XIII Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern problems of thermophysics and heat power engineering in the Far North conditions" was held. 17 reports were heard and discussed. Chairman - Associate Professor, Dr. of Physics and Mathematics Ai. M. Timofeev.

     XIV regional conference "Thermophysics and Power Engineering of the Arctic and Subarctic Territories", 2019.

On June 24, 2019 the conference was extended to the all-Russian level with international participation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous scientist, thermal physicist and permafrost scientist, Dr. Rev Ivanovich Gavriliev.

The 6 plenary reports were presented and discussed, and 86 reports were divided into 4 sections: theoretical and computational thermophysics, practical aspects of thermophysics, power engineering, and geothermal physics. A collection of extended abstracts of papers was published (RSCI https://www.elibrary.ru/item.asp?id=38572103), the best papers were printed in the journals from the VAK list.

XV All-Russian Conference with international participation was held in 2021 at the V.P. Larionov Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North, SB RAS and the Institute of Oil and Gas Problems, SB RAS under the title "Topical Issues of Thermal Physics, Energy and Gas Dynamics in Arctic and Subarctic Territories" (TEGUA-2021), dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the RF and YASR honored scientist, Dr. Sci, Professor Eduard Antonovich Bondarev, colleague and associate of N.S.
