A speech by Rector of NEFU at a meeting the fire of Universiade 2013

Dear colleagues, dear friends!
It is a responsible and honorable mission for M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University to become one of the first participants in the official celebrations of the World Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
It is symbolic that today, on March 28, at the first day of 100-day marathon before the opening of the Universiade 2013 on July 6, the Yakut bowl of the Universiade fire was lit by our graduate, the winner of the Olympic Games in Beijing, Georgy Balakshin!
We are proud that our students are active supporters of a healthy lifestyle, leaders in any field of creative intellectual development, because our students love sport! World champions, champions of Europe, Asia, winners of sports competitions, winners of intellectual contests, owners of the Grand Prix of creative competitions, members of the Russian national team attend NEFU.
Within three weeks, we will keep Universiade fire as a symbol of harmony and peace, the symbol of solidarity and unity, the symbol of friendship and progress!
Let the World Student Sports Games in our beloved country will be successful for citizens of the Russian Federation, let Universiade in Kazan will be the grand festival of talented young people all over the world!
