The results of the contest "Arctic Yakutia and the Far East as the partner regions of the Republic of Korea" were summed up at North-Eastern Federal University. The winners were a graduate of the University of Koryo Yoon Song Ee and a graduate of Hankuk University of Foreign Languages Park Mijin.

In accordance with the competition regulations, the winners receive a grant, which covers the costs of studying for master’s degree at Maksim Ammosov Federal University. If necessary, the guys can pass a one-year language training in the Russian language, according to NEFU International Relations Office.

"At the moment, there are negotiations, a discussion of the internship conditions. The list of programs includes such areas as "Economics", "Management", "Finance and Credit". Also, the winners receive a monthly scholarship, payment for accommodation in NEFU hostel and medical insurance for the entire period of training", said the leading specialist of NEFU Institute of the East Innokenty Sivtsev.

The contest "Arctic Yakutia and the Far East as partner regions of the Republic of Korea" was organized with the aim of creating a better understanding and knowledge of the Far East of Russia and the largest in the territory of the country - the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In addition, as the organizers note, the event helped to identify talented young people who can contribute to the development of mutually beneficial economic and cultural relations between our countries and regions, and to develop inter-university academic mobility of students, teachers and university staff.

The contest was held from December 10, 2017 to March 16, 2018 among the citizens of the Republic of South Korea, who have a bachelor's degree, as well as students of higher education institutions of the last year of the bachelor's program.
