Academic mobility of students: exchange program in South Korea's universities at NEFU

Annually more than 60 students of North-Eastern Federal University study at universities in South Korea by various exchange and scholarship programs. In total, cooperation is being conducted with nine South Korean universities.

NEFU cooperates with dozens of universities, colleges, research centers of the world. A program of mobility of students and teachers with 56 foreign partner universities is also being implemented.

According to NEFU International Relations Office, in 2017 45 students went to study in Korea. "Exchange programs are available as for students of language specialties, and for engineering, technical and other specialties. For example, this year the mobility program was used by students of the Faculty of History, Physical Engineering, Engineering, Finance and Economics", said the staff of the Office.

Currently, the federal university is selecting students for exchange programs at Pusan National University and Myongji University, for language internships at Hankuk and Joseon universities. "This month recruitment for all programs will start, interviews are planned from October 6. Candidates require motivation, good or excellent academic performance, English at intermediate level or higher", explained Innokenty Sivtsev, the coordinator of exchange programs with South Korean universities.
