NEFU development entered the finals of IN'HUB International Forum of Innovators
Employees of North-Eastern Federal University presented a PoE cable voltage indicator at the finals of the invention and technology competition of IN'HUB International Forum, held in Novosibirsk on October 7-8. This is a ready model that can be easily implemented into production, the developers note.
The useful model "PoE Indicator" was developed and patented by employees of the Telecommunications Department of NEFU Department of Digital Technologies. “The indicator was made to facilitate diagnostics in the work with Wi-Fi equipment, now we are actively use it in the university network. The model is already ready, so it is easy to implement it into production,” said Petr Dmitriev, head of the Telecommunications Network Operation and Network Administration Sector.
Experts selected 200 inventors for the IN'HUB competition of inventions and technologies - all of them presented their developments at the in-person exhibition, NEFU Department of Digital Technologies notes. “Participation in the forum is an opportunity to find investors or manufacturers of diagnostic equipment. There is interest in our development, we have shared contacts with interested parties,” said Petr Dmitriev.
The patent for the invention - the PoE cable voltage indicator, containing a network interface of the RJ-45 standard, was received by employees of the federal university back in 2015 by Petr Dmitriev, Eduard Gerasimov, Viktor Matveev and Anatoly Keremyasov.
IN'HUB International Forum of Innovators was held within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. The organizers were the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation with the support of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region and Norilsk Nickel.
