Applicant-2022: 11 public organizations work at NEFU
Student initiative is widely supported at North-Eastern Federal University. Stepan Sleptsov, Chairman of the University Student Coordinating Council, told about it on the program “Spotlight Interview” on Yakutia 24 channel.
The Chairman of NEFU SCC said that there are 11 public associations for students in various areas at the university - from science (SRS) to civic and patriotic education (CPC "Motherland"). “Student self-government is developing quite quickly. Every year, both the number of activists and the number of student associations increases. The membership, activity opens a lot of opportunities for students, including making real friends,” said Stepan Sleptsov.
Many students who have proven themselves from the first days later become leaders of associations and bright figures in the youth media space. At the same time, it should be understood that each of them is responsible to their like-minded people, said the chairman of NEFU SCC: “Each leader has a huge role in society. They involve from 50 to 300 students. Because they are the key link in the social organization.”
It is important to emphasize that student activists, as part of large associations, develop many important qualities in themselves, including patriotism. For example, representatives of NEFU Students’ Union help refugees.
