The Round University Ranking Agency has published a subject ranking of the world universities in Medical Sciences. North-Eastern Federal University ranked fourth among all Russian universities in the RUR World University Ranking.

On September 20, the agency sent the results of the RUR subject rankings, where NEFU ranked fourth in Russia and 326th worldwide in Medical Sciences. In Life Sciences, the university ranks 29th in Russia and 576th worldwide.

Nikolay Gogolev, head of NEFU Medical Institute, commenting on the ranking results, said: “Our main strength is the strong, creative team of the Medical Institute formed during 65 years of the university's history in collaboration with the developing health care of Yakutia and Russia. This is a recognition of the work of many generations of researchers and medical practitioners of Yakutia."

The RUR World University Ranking was created to evaluate and choose universities based on the personal requirements of key stakeholders: applicants and students, the academic community, university management, and the state.

In May 2021, the overall RUR ranking was unveiled, in which North-Eastern Federal University took 615th place worldwide and 26th place in Russia.
