In the 2021-2022 academic year, the Faculty of Road Construction at North-Eastern Federal University and Heilongjiang East University are launching a new Bachelor's degree program 08.03.01 "Construction", profile "Automobile Roads". Rector Anatoly Nikolaev told the journalists about it at the meeting on the admission campaign-2021 at NEFU Botanical Garden.

The degree program will be implemented from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2028. The number of HEU students is up to 40 people, subject to the annual enrollment of 3 to 10 applicants, excluding those entering by general competition.

“Negotiations on the opening of the program continued for several years. From the side of the partner university, there are already those who want to study and receive a double diploma: NEFU and HEU. Students will study at home for the first two years. In addition to the main disciplines, they will study Russian. Then they will spend their third and fourth years in Yakutia. The defense of their thesis will also be here,” said the rector.

Anatoly Nikolaev added: “Documents from foreign students will be accepted online. They have an opportunity to enter any university in the country. It is gratifying that they choose our university among all. Currently, there are about 600 foreign students studying at NEFU.”

Let us remember, in the new academic year, NEFU and the Higher School of Economics will train specialists in the field of financial technologies and data analysis within the framework of the double degree program "Economics and Data Analysis". Upon completion of the training, graduates will receive diplomas from NEFU and HSE. The program meets the requirements of enterprises of the real economy, potential employers of Data Science graduates.
