24 educational programs of North-Eastern Federal University were among the winners of the VIII stage of the All-Russian project "The Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia". Annually, 4,000 respondents take part in the project.

Eight of the 24 NEFU educational programs are undergraduate and graduate programs implemented at the Institute of Mathematics and Information Science. “All the indicators that are taken into account in the project are aimed at assessing the quality of education. The main focus of the assessment is the effectiveness of educational activities: the ability to complete studies, obtain a degree, successful employment, and the amount of the initial salary. Participation of students in Olympiads, competitions, contests, grants and scholarships are also taken into account,” said Margarita Terentieva, head of the Department for Licensing Educational Activities and Accreditation of Basic Educational Programs at NEFU.

The project "The Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia" is one of the first projects of an independent assessment of the quality of education in the country. Margarita Terentieva noted that this is an independent tool to identify the opinion of employers and the expert community about all educational programs implemented in the universities nationwide.

According to Margarita Terentieva, the fact that NEFU educational programs are among the best is an evidence of the high competitiveness of the university. “The high assessment of experts shows the proper quality of training specialists in the priority areas of modernization and technological development of the Russian economy,” said the head of the Department for Licensing Educational Activities and Accreditation of Basic Educational Programs.
