The signed document on cooperation between North-Eastern Federal University and Harbin Sport University provides for the participation of educational organizations in the joint training of highly qualified specialists and academic exchanges.

Harbin Sport University was founded in 1956 and is the main base for training specialists in winter and ice sports in China. “During 65 years, our university has become the main university in China with highly developed winter sports, rationally placed disciplines, and coordinated development of various specialties. We have more than 6,500 full-time students. The university adheres to leadership in the use of advanced teaching systems, increases its competitiveness, and strives to strengthen its sports teams,” said Chen Deming, Rector of Harbin Sport University.

The rector of the Chinese university added: “We will provide strong technical and intellectual support for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, and will also contribute to the development and retention of a large number of specialists. Over the past three years, our university has launched a number of international exchange events in winter sports. Today's cooperation agreement, which we are signing, is important in strengthening relations between Russia and China. I wish NEFU a wonderful future and strong friendship between our universities."
