Participants of WorldSkills Shanghai World Competition to solve NEFU task

Roman Gogolev, Director of “Future Skills” International Center at North-Eastern Federal University, has developed a task for the competence “Manufacturing team challenge”, which is part of the basic competencies. It received approval at the VIII WorldSkills Russia National Competition 2020.

Roman Gogolev is a coach of the national team of the Russian Federation, as well as a federal expert of WorldSkills Russia in the competence "Teamwork in production". “The task is aimed at the production design, experience with assembly and testing of the transport system with an auto crane. The system has to complete the tasks of automated load-carrying and movement in difficult locations and serves as a supporting machinery,” he said.

The task will be offered for WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai. The director notes that the competence “Teamwork in production” has a huge impact on the scientific, technical and technological development of the Russian vocational education system and the labor market. “Due to the work of our center, the competence has become one of the main in the Russian Federation. Also, Yakutia is represented in the Russian national team in this competence,” said Roman Gogolev.

About seven regions took part in the competence “Teamwork in production”, Yakutia was eliminated due to the lack of a high-tech manufacturing complex that would completely meet the basic requirements, and the departure of students became impossible due to the epidemiological situation in the country, the director noted.

The competition was held from September 6 to 21, 2020 nationwide in a hybrid format using remote and online technologies. As a result, WorldSkills Russia 2020 national final has become the largest competition in the history of not only the Russian, but also the world movement WorldSkills, gathering more than 3 thousand participants, including about a thousand Juniors and foreign competitors. The expert community was represented by more than 700 people.
