On the first day of this year, the cloned Laika became the mother of seven puppies, the second parent is not a cloned animal, according to Vostok.Today.

A dog named Kerechene now lives in the Bayanai hunting dog club. According to the curator of the cloned animal, the puppies and their mother have no health problems. Kerechene was born in a suburb of the capital of South Korea in the summer of 2017.

Two puppies of the Yakut Laika were produced by scientists from NEFU and Sooam Biotech Research Foundation. Sooam Biotech has been cloning dogs and farm animals for over a decade.

NEFU became a co-organizer of the International Winter Arctic School at Harbin Polytechnic University (HPU). The event opened on January 6, according to Yakutia 24 TV channel.

Also, "Yakutia 24" reports that NEFU School of International Studies  and Incheon State University (Republic of Korea) will cooperate in the field of scholarship master’s program in "Logistics". Universities have signed a memorandum of understanding.

The universities agreed to cooperate closely and annually recommend three applicants for the scholarship program. The document also provides for the exchange of students and faculty, the implementation of educational and cultural programs, joint programs with the award of a master's and doctor’s degree, and conducting joint scientific research.
