NEFU in the TOP-25 among Russian universities by the index of law clinics

North-Eastern Federal University ranked 21st among Russian universities according to the index of law clinics in the National University Ranking 2019. This information was provided by NEFU Department of Strategic Development.

The leader of the TOP-25 is N.I. Lobachevsky National Research Nizhny Novgorod State University. NEFU and Penza State University (20th place) scored the same indices - 143. Among federal universities, besides NEFU, only Siberian Federal University was included in the ranking and taking the 25th place.

“The ranking results are the result of a practically oriented approach to training future lawyers at NEFU, according to which providing free legal assistance in a law clinic to citizens in a difficult situation is an essential element of the educational process,” said Olga Ilyina, head of NEFU law clinic.

The activities of universities were evaluated by six key parametric indicators: education, research, socialization, internationalization, brand and university assessment in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. In turn, university rankings on the “Innovations and Entrepreneurship” parameter contain six particular indicators - technological (innovative) entrepreneurship at the university, university's patent portfolio, university cooperation with high-tech companies, tests carried out by university, innovative infrastructure of the university, university enterprises, social entrepreneurship, R & D of the university, basic university departments.
