North-Eastern Federal University together with the French company Schneider Electric organizes the work of the FEFD Competence Center - an agreement was signed at the Innovation Summit Moscow on April 15. Such a treaty was the first in the Far East.

Schneider Electric is a world leader in energy management and automation. “Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to establish long-term partnerships based on the integration of the educational, scientific and innovative potential of the parties,” said NEFU Vice-Rector for Informatization, Petr Ivanov, who participates in the summit.

The cooperation will cover several areas - power engineering, electrical engineering, energy management and energy efficiency. In this regard, NEFU implements educational programs, organizes students' practice, and also helps in further employment. In addition, laboratories, research and educational centers and other integrated structures will be established on the basis of the university.

“For the implementation of educational programs, we can attract leading Schneider Electric experts as lecturers of seminars, consultants for university staff. We also have the right to use modern methods of the educational process and innovative educational technologies, advanced, modern equipment of the company in training. In the field of practice and employment, we will select students after their studies at NEFU to provide them with vacancies in the French company,” concluded Petr Ivanov.
