They spoke about the implementation of the National Project “Digital Economy” at the forum “Graduate-2019: For a New Village!”. The discussion was attended by representatives of sectoral ministries and departments of the republic, students of Yakut universities and institutions.

Petr Ivanov, Vice-Rector for Informatization, noted that the forum set up a tradition to unite representatives of government, municipalities and students. In conjunction with the implementation of the digital economy nationwide, the regions play the important role, that are the main performers. In turn, their work depends on the activities of universities”, said the head.

According to Petr Ivanov, NEFU actively cooperates with global high-tech companies. “We work with Huawei. One of these days we intend to conclude an agreement with the well-known French company Schneider Electric. The university implements “IoT Samsung Academy” social education program with Samsung. And we are starting to develop this activity”, said the vice-rector.

He shared plans to expand educational courses. “Since autumn, we will hold courses for teachers and pupils of schools. To make the program work not only on NEFU basis, but also to implement in general educational institutions. Our task is to prepare our graduates for work in village schools under this program. To do this, it is necessary to establish Samsung Academy branches in each district center”, he said.

NEFU Interim Rector Evgenia Mikhailova asked the graduates: “If you have a desire to organize branches, please contact us. We are ready to fulfill your dream. To implement this idea, we will contact the school leaders and will help to prepare the facilities.”
