IFPRS student became the winner of the competition "Chinese is the bridge"

Bogdan Ignatiev, a student at the Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies of North-Eastern Federal University, took the 3rd place in the regional qualifying competition of the 8th All-Russian Competition "Chinese is a bridge." In total, there were 40 best students-sinologists.

According to the senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​and Country Studies of IFPRS, the head of the winner Tuyara Ordakhova, representatives of the universities of Khabarovsk, the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region and Yakutia competed in the competition. “The competition consisted of two stages. It is a monologue statement and answers to questions on the history, culture and country studies of China. During the persistent struggle, Bogdan presented our university well and took the third place,” the head noted. - We have been preparing for competitions since February. In the first stage, Bogdan prepared a speech about his childhood and family memories. The jury appreciated his performance.”

The competition “Chinese is a bridge” has been held annually worldwide since 2002 and is becoming more popular. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate the level of knowledge of the Chinese language and show your knowledge in the field of culture, history, art, geography, music, literature of China. In addition to the main prize - training in China, participants get a unique opportunity to develop their talents in the field of amateur art activities, overcome the language barrier, find many new friends both among colleagues-sinologists and among native speakers.

IFPRS students annually take an active part in the competition "Chinese is a bridge." In 2017, Varvara Sleptsova was awarded in the nomination "The Best Wushu Number" and entered the top five in terms of total points for representing the Far East in the final competition in Kazan.
