M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University is in the TOP-600 universities of the world professional university ranking RankPro for the fifth year in a row. At this time, the university ranked 417th worldwide - this is 38 positions higher than in the previous year. NEFU ranks 16th among Russian universities.

“Over the past three years, NEFU is improving its position. Compared with 2017, the federal university has risen almost 100 positions among the leading universities in the world. Continues to be the 16th among Russian universities for the second year,” noted Elena Afanasieva, Director of NEFU Strategic Development Department.

RankPro ranking assesses more than one and a half thousand of the best universities in the world according to such criteria as academic opportunities, information content of the website, and the reputation of the university among experts. According to academic opportunities, NEFU ranked 19th among 31 Russian universities and fourth place among federal universities, according to informativeness of the website - 11th place among 22 Russian universities and second place among federal universities.

“According to the study, the ranking includes 600 leading universities from 54 countries of the world. Only 24 Russian universities were able to enter the overall ranking, including 5 federal universities. The top three, as in the previous year, includes California Institute of Technology, Yale University and the Swiss Higher Technical School of Zurich. The leaders among a group of Russian universities are ITMO, Tomsk Polytechnic University and MIPT,” NEFU Strategic Development Department reports.
