The results of the effectiveness monitoring of the activity of educational institutions of higher education in Russia have been summed up: the indicators of North-Eastern Federal University are above the threshold.

“The effectiveness monitoring of educational institutions of higher education has been held annually since 2012. To participate in the monitoring, we conduct a systematic analysis of the indicator values, use our own automated system “NEFU Reports” and take timely measures to improve indicators”, said Olga Sibiryakova, head of NEFU Analytics Department. “All this allows us to improve the quality of the procedure for collecting the necessary information, form an accounting system for key indicators and improve the reliability of the information provided”.

The effectiveness monitoring of educational institutions of higher education is carried out in accordance with the government decree of December 30, 2012. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, 1314 higher education institutions participated in the monitoring of 2018, including 583 branches, 10 federal universities, 29 national research universities, 21 participants in the project 5-100. The main monitoring indicators include educational, research, financial and economic activities, employment, current contingent and an additional indicator.

Besides the head university, NEFU branches also took part in the monitoring. These are Polytechnic Institute in Mirny, Technical institute in Neryungri, and the Chukotka branch of the university. “The branches of our university showed remarkable results in comparison with previous years. For example, a branch in Anadyr, where we are the only institution of higher education that is seriously engaged in higher education in the district. Earlier, the branch had a lack of several indicators. Now the situation has changed for the better, that’s nice. I think with time the indicators will be even better”, concluded Olga Sibiryakova.
