Since September 2018, “Samsung IoT Academy” educational project will be available to ten higher educational institutions in Russia, including North-Eastern Federal University. It is known that the educational program is based on the study of real industrial tasks to introduce Internet technologies of things. According to representatives of Samsung Electronics, the main objective of the project is to train professionals able to develop all areas of activity from transport to health and together with the company to move into the digital future.
Within the frameworks of the educational project, each partner university is provided with equipment for the organization of educational and scientific IoT-laboratories. NEFU teachers and students will be provided with rapid prototyping kits, Samsung ARTIK microcomputers, which are used to solve IoT tasks, and other high-tech devices.
