North-Eastern Federal University and Vector Center are selecting tissue samples of ancient mouse-like rodents to find paleoviruses. The remains of mammals were discovered in August 2021 in the Middle Kolyma River in Yakutia. According to scientists, epidemiological studies are important for predicting future threats to humanity.
