Vladimir Egorov: the university will open a center for continuous training of teachers by 2020
A working meeting of the teaching staff with the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Vladimir Egorov took place at North-Eastern Federal University. The purpose of the meeting is to identify the points of interaction between the authorities and teachers on topical issues.
Vladimir Egorov noted the main points of interaction between NEFU and the Ministry of Education: training of teaching staff for the republic, advanced training of teaching staff and scientific and methodological support in the field of pedagogy. By 2020, it is planned to establish a center for continuous development of professional skills of teachers and a center for assessing the competence of teachers, the minister added.
The main task of these institutions is to check the competencies of teachers and help in filling up the identified weaknesses, said Vladimir Egorov: "This center is established for a reason, it must use all the resources that are available both in the republic and abroad."
Director of NEFU Teacher Training Institute Tatiana Tretyakova expressed the opinion that the teaching staff of the university is ready to help the regions in the activities of digital education centers. In addition, it is necessary to create an interactive map of the staffing needs of schools and kindergartens for a coordinated joint work, she emphasized.
The outcome of the meeting was a discussion of the development of teacher education in the republic, the signing of a protocol of relevant projects. “I’m sure that NEFU teaching staff in collaboration with the Ministry of Education has all the opportunities to prepare top-level personnel for the republic and Russia as a whole and implement the projects,” concluded Vladimir Egorov.
