NEFU strengthened its position in the Expert RA ranking of Russian universities and the National University Ranking
North-Eastern Federal University has improved its indicators, rising to 31 position in the ranking of "TOP-100 best universities in Russia" by the agency RAEX (Expert RA), according to NEFU Department of Strategic Development.
The results of the study of the Rating Agency "Expert RA" were published on June 5th. “NEFU improved its indicators and rose to the 31st place among the best universities nationwide this year. The growth in the positions of the university compared to last year's indicators was due to an improvement in the criterion “The employers demand for graduates” - the university rose from 41st place to 27. The university has been participating in the agency's university rankings since 2012. During this time, NEFU shows only a positive trend in the ranking,” informed NEFU Department of Strategic Development.
As in the past year, MSU named after M.V. Lomonosov, MIPT and NRNU MEPhI are in the top three. The permanent leader among the federal universities of the last seven issues of the ranking is UrFU, it took the 12th place. The federal top three also includes KFU and SFU (16 and 21 places, respectively).
“The TOP-30 include 17 universities from Moscow and the Moscow region, four universities from St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, ITMO, St. Petersburg State Medical University), two from Tomsk (TPU and TSU), as well as Novosibirsk State University, Lobachevsky UNN", - reported RAEX Rating Agency (Expert RA).
It was reported that NEFU took the 31st place among Russian universities in the National University Ranking, published on June 4, prepared by “Interfax” information group and “Echo of Moscow” radio station. “NEFU has high positions in the parameter “Socialization”- 22nd place in Russia. The position of the university has significantly strengthened in “Brand” parameter - NEFU has risen 24 positions up,” noted at NEFU DSD.
Rating Agency RAEX (RAEX-Analytics) publishes an annual ranking of universities in Russia since 2012. The overall ranking is based on an assessment of the results of three main areas of university activity: the conditions for quality education, the employers demand for graduates, and research activities. A private ranking is compiled for each activity. In 2019, 158 universities participated in the survey, 145 universities in 2018, 144 in 2017 and 2016, 133 in 2015, and 125 in 2014. In 2019, 60 thousand respondents took part in the survey.
The National University Ranking is compiled by “Interfax” information group in partnership with “Echo of Moscow” radio station. The main goal of this project is the development of mechanisms and procedures for an independent evaluation system of Russian universities and their educational programs, and an increase in the competitiveness of Russian universities in the global educational and research space. The National University Ranking 2019 includes 327 Russian universities (2018 - 288 universities).
