On November 17, the international exhibition “NEFU International Festival” will take place in the Building of the Faculties of Natural Sciences of North-Eastern Federal University. The festival will be held within the framework of the 7th anniversary of NEFU International and the International Day of Students.

According to John Anderson, the president of NEFU International Festival, the event is held for the third year. And this event is significant because it has a social character, aimed at a large audience of schoolchildren and students. “The festival helps the people of Yakutia to learn cultures, get acquainted with the traditions and customs of different countries”, he said.

According to the organizers, the presentations of countries from foreign students, teachers and guests of Yakutsk will be held at the event. National dishes, souvenirs, clothes, books, paintings from more than 40 countries of the world will be presented at the festival. “This year we have expanded the format of NEFU International Festival. Also, participants will be told about the exchange and scholarship programs of our university”, said Evgenia Tylbykova, the head of Tandem Program.

According to the organizers, due to the festival, anyone can see the cultural diversity of the university and get acquainted with the traditions and customs of other countries. Fun contests and Body Art will be held for the exhibition guests. Sponsors of the event will award the participants.

"Guests of NEFU International Festival will see performances of foreign students and activists of the student organization of international friendship and intercultural communication", the project organizers added. Admission is free.
