The Department of Car Operation and Service was opened by the order of YSU Rector №7 in 12.02.08.

The department trains multidiscipline engineers for highway transportation, main activity of these engineers - vehicle maintenance and service enterprises of all form of incorporation.

Students on the specialty “Service of transport and technological machines and equipment (automobile transport) study:

- Fundamentals of engineering systems workability and diagnosis;

- Performance properties of vehicles, Technical operation of vehicles equipped with computer systems;

- Management in car service, fundamentals of marketing in car service.

Graduates of this specialty can work in various enterprises and firms of vehicles service , including service stations, leasing, dealer companies, repair stations, public or private.

Students of the specialty "Automobiles and vehicle fleet " study:

- Maintenance and repair of automobile transport, organization of transportations,

- Technical diagnostics and reliability,

- Fracture mechanics,

- Economics of transport.
