Chukotka Branch FSAI HPE "M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University" is a separate structural unit of the University, located in Anadyr, Chukotka. It constantly provide all or a part of university functions: rendering of servicesand execution of work in the field of education and science, providing the necessary conditions for the development of science, and all-round development of aperson.

Chukotka Branch FSAI HPE "M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University" was created by NEFU with the support of Chukotka Government on an order № 1329 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of November 30, 2010. This branch is the first institution of higher education in the Chukotka Autonomous District, which prepares technical specialists of full-time education.

The establishment of NEFU Chukotka Branch provided specialists training for promising sectors of the economy, taking into account the needs of Chukotka regional labor market. It allowed young people to obtain a higher professional education without leaving region’s territory, which, in its turn, reduces the out flow of a young and working-age population, and expanded the opportunities for a realization of the constitutional rights to receive a higher education regardless of a location.

The first admissiontook place in 2011. The first directions were 140400.62 "Power and Electrical Engineering" of full-time and part-time education, and 130403.65 "Applied Geology" of full-time education.
