NEFU students are champions and prize-winners of the tournament on freestyle wrestling named after Dmitry Korkin

On October 1, the 10th anniversary international freestyle wrestling tournament of the Grand Prix in memory of the Honored Coach of Yakutia, Russia and the USSR Dmitry Korkin was held. 16 students of North-Eastern Federal University took part in the tournament.

"Our students, as we expected, showed good results. They passed a three-stage training - this summer they practiced in the sports camp "Mannyattakh", in the fall they started training at the university and in the middle of September they participated at the open republican tournament of the first three YSU masters-professors", said the deputy director for sports work of NEFU Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Semyon Nikolayev.

The champions of the tournament were Viktor Rassadin (61 kg), German Ustinov (70 kg) and graduate Nikolay Okhlopkov (57 kg). "Viktor Rassadin became the three-time winner of the tournament and proved that he is one of the best wrestlers of the Russian team", said NEFU IPCS deputy director.

Djulustan Bulatov, the graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, won silver in the category up to 65 kg. Two students of the Federal University - Arian Tyutrin (57 kg) and Egor Ponomarev (61 kg) won bronze medals.
