The Year of Maksim Ammosov has started at NEFU

On January 25, on the Tatiana Day, the best students and graduates of the University were honored at North-Eastern Federal University. The theme of this year was declared traditionally: 2017 was declared a Year of Maksim Ammosov at NEFU.

“On behalf of Rector Evgenia Mikhailova let me express my warm greetings and congratulations on your professional holiday. Currently she is in business trip in Moscow. Yesterday there was a meeting with Olga Vasilyeva, the Minister of Education and Science of Russia, and today there is a meeting of the Supervisory Board of NEFU, said Vasily Savvinov, the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development. Dear students, we wish you to achieve the best results which our students achieved in a Year of quality”.

Vice-Rector Vasily Savvinov said that the University named after Maksim Ammosov meets the Tatiana day with pleasant events – on January 23, a new training and laboratory building of Mirny Polytechnic Institute was opened. In the future the construction of two major facilities is expected – the dormitory for the accommodation of 500 people and the building of NEFU Medical Institute.

2017 year for the youth of Yakutia was marked by two important events – the Year of Youth and the 50th anniversary of the student team movement in Yakutia. This was reported by Afanasiy Vladimirov, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Family Politics of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): “Get ready for major events, new projects and ideas”.

The first Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Mikhail Prisyazhny said that Tatiana’s day brings together all those who were young and studied at universities and colleges. “I hope that NEFU students, including those who came to study in Yakutsk from other regions of Russia and foreign countries will ready to become highly-qualified specialists and will contribute to the development of our region. Let favorite University develop together with you”, summed up Mikhail Prisyazhny.

Letters of thanks on behalf of NEFU rector were awarded to the winners of Russian and International Olympiads, students who have shown success in studies and scientific activity.
