NEFU to establish new master’s programs in Economics and Law together with the University of Nice

From December 14 to 16, delegates of North-Eastern Federal University participated in the workshop on programs of dual certification of the Higher Institute of Economics and Management, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (France). As a result, new decisions for the cooperation of the Yakut and French universities were taken.

According to Director of the Center for Cooperation with French-speaking Countries of NEFU International Relations Office Izabella Borisova, North-Eastern Federal University continues to participate in the project of the international academic mobility (MIC) Erasmus +. "Participation in this project will allow students, master’s students, PhD students and teachers to study in semester and annual internships by the Erasmus +", said the director.

The universities agreed to establish a joint master's program in Economics through participation in the project "Capacity Building in Higher Education Erasmus +”, according to member of the delegation, Director of the Institute of Finances and Economics Aleksandr Kugaevsky. "It is gratifying that the cooperation with the university of France goes to the next level, we will develop a project of joint scholarship with the Embassy of France in Russia, for PhD students to study by the PhD program at the University of Nice", said the director. During the workshop, delegates were trained how to use Jalon electronic platform. "Due to this platform, our students will be able to use its resources in the implementation of the joint program of dual certification in Economics", said the director.

Also during the visit, the university signed an agreement with Jean Pierre Desideri, the visiting professor of NEFU Faculty of Law, Director of the master's program "Environmental Law" of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. "He will develop a new joint master's program together with the Department of Arctic Law and Law of the APR countries of Law Faculty", said Izabella Borisova.
