NEFU students brigade "Khraniteli" ("Guardians") went to the Amur Region for the construction of Russia's first civilian cosmodrome "Vostochny" ("Eastern") on July 9. Eleven people will be working for a month and a half, according to the NEFU Student Brigades Staff.

"Students of the Federal University are participating in the construction of the cosmodrome for the second time - twelve students had been working last year, eleven are working this year. Students will be busy on the concrete, engineering, road and earthworks, finishing, auxiliary and ancillary works, as well as on landscaping and greening the areas", shared the head of NEFU Student Brigades Staff Nikolai Tarasov.

Brigade members have been carefully selected. "Young people with good health, good academic performance and experience in this sphere are working at the construction site", added the Head of Staff.

Workers at the site note that participation in the construction of the cosmodrome is an honor. "The Student Brigades movement has influenced me greatly. We must represent our Republic", said the leader of "Guardians" Aisen Solovyov.
