NEFU made 33 positions up in the Ranking of European Scientific-Industrial Chamber

North-Eastern Federal University improved its position in the Academic Ranking of World Universities ARES-2016, having made 33 positions up.

There were seven federal universities in the ranking. Ural Federal University took the highest position, which made eight positions up and entered the top 10. This year NEFU took the 56 place in the second category of evaluation, and made 33 positions up, compared to last year's results.

"European Scientific-Industrial Chamber conducts the ARES-2016 university ranking to evaluate the university performance over its teaching and research applying, including active interaction with future employers", said Vasily Savvinov, NEFU Vice Rector for Strategic Development.

He noted that the ranking is made in strict accordance with European standards, processed automatically, completely excluding the human factor.

There are 4 categories of estimates in the ranking: A - High quality of teaching, research activities and the demand for graduates by employers (High quality performance); B - reliable quality of teaching and research activities and the demand for graduates by employers (Good quality performance); C - adequate quality of teaching and research activities and the demand for graduates by employers (Adequate quality performance), D - inadequate quality of teaching and research activities and the demand for graduates by employers with significant risk (Conditional failure).
