NEFU students and staff to be enrolled in educational programs of India

On May 5, Mr. Rupjyoti Brahma Karjee, Consul General of India in Vladivostok, paid a working visit to North-Eastern Federal University. During the meeting, he discussed forms of cooperation in the field of education and research.

Mr. Rupjyoti Brahma Karjee pointed that education in India is a priority area of development. “Within the frameworks of the networking projects, the Government of India offers short term and long term programs for students from other countries. Over 500 leading universities participate in such programs in the field of culture, information technologies, he said. I would like to invite NEFU students to participate in our project".

Consul General of India noted that research grants apply not only to students but also to the staff, and training can be considered as advanced training for NEFU staff.

"The Consulate General is ready to provide support in cooperation with the best universities in India. I hope this will help to establish initial contact for our cooperation, said Rupjyoti Brahma Karjee. - We know that the study of the Arctic zone is well developed in your university. India is also interested in this scientific subject".
