NEFU International Student Organization of international friendship and cross-cultural communication holds the first competitions “NEFU Games”. The competitions will last until April 11.

"The aim of “NEFU Games” is to create conditions for cross-cultural communication, acquaintance and friendship of local students with international students", said Vladlen Kugunurov, NEFU Vice Rector for International Cooperation.

Within the frameworks of the competition, participants will compete in checkers, tennis, football, swimming, volleyball, including competitions in Russian Language, English Language and Country Studies. Teams will be composed of local and international students.

"My main goal as a president of NEFU International is to make foreign students successfully adapt to North-Eastern Federal University. I am sure that they should feel at home. "NEFU Games" is one of our ten projects, which will help them", concluded President of NEFU International John Anderson.

At Country Studies Competition, participants were required to know the sights of Yakutia and Russia. The organizers called Volleyball Competition the most interesting, because it is a team game and students interact with each other more. In total, about 156 students will take part in the event.
