On September 30, famous geoecologist Vasily Ivanov, Deputy Director of NEFU Research Institute of Applied Ecology of the North, presented his scientific monograph to the library of the Ecology Department of the Institute of Natural Sciences (INS).

The monograph "The transformation of natural complexes under the mineral resources use in Yakutia" will be a source of information for the preparation of masters in "Industrial Ecology" specialization, which started this year at the Department of Ecology.

"Masters of "Industrial Ecology" should know the theory and practice of all kinds of environmental work to assess the impact of industry on the environment. First of all, for NEFU graduates, it is knowledge of features of the nature reaction of Yakutia to the industry impact. This is exactly that monograph", said Mikhail Cherosov, Head of NEFU INS Department of Ecology.

In the monograph, Vasily Ivanov summed up his personal experience, and the experience of the Institute for Applied Ecology to assess the impact of industry on the nature of Yakutia, the way to control the negative impact on nature, the principles of regulation of human load on the nature of the North. The main object of his work is use of mineral resources in Yakutia.
