Experts of NEFU Institute of Finances and Economics and the University of Sophia Antipolis to develop research project in the field of tourism

On June 16 to 17, Colloquium of experts and scientists of the federal university and the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (France). Parties already have dual certification program and plan the development of joint research projects and presentation of them to the scientific foundations of Russia and France.

"In 2007, the university signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. The first area is development of the program of dual certification – is successfully conducted, students are actively involved, we already have graduates who continue their studies at Sophia Antipolis. The second area is joint research activities - we have decided to strengthen the work. We plan to present joint projects at the international competitions held by the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation. That is why we organize research teams", Professor of the Institute of Finances and Economics (IFE) Galina Rats said.

Jean-Paul Guichard, Professor of the University of Sophia Antipolis, praised the IFE students majoring in "International Economic Relations". "I’m glad that the students of the institute not only presented their reports at the colloquium, but translated the event. I hope that the two-day discussion will be the beginning of the development of new projects", Professor Guichard said.

The French party is interested in cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region. Aleksandr Kugaevsky, Director of the Institute of Finances and Economics, pointed that Professor Jean-Paul Guichard manages the center, studying the Asian region. "Euro-Asian transport corridors do not get to Paris - they stop in Germany. There is a huge Russia between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, cooperation with Yakutia is particularly interesting", the director of the institute said.

Aleksandr Kugaevsky presented new projects on the prospects of development of tourism in Yakutia in his presentation: for example, the recreation center "Northern Peace", which will include an indoor ski resort, the Mammoth Center, the Kingdom of Permafrost. "The area of tourism in our region can be called "cold selling ", he said.

Professor Claude Bertolome of the University of Nice, Bernard Bettin, Professor Evgeny Avdokushin of Moscow State University, representatives of NEFU scientific institutions, ministries and departments participated at the colloquium. Papers presented at the discussion will be published in the electronic edition, included in the base of the Russian Science Citation Index.
