International cooperation: NEFU signed agreement with the Institute of Finances and Economics of Mongolia

Students of North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk will be able to obtain three degree certificates under the agreement with the Institute of Finances and Economics (IFE) of Mongolia. On May 13, the parties signed a basic agreement on international cooperation.

"The Institute of Finances and Economics is one of the oldest universities in Mongolia. With almost 90 years of experience, today it is known as a modern Mongolian institute of higher education in terms of program development, the use of multimedia and innovative approaches to teaching and learning", Batjargal Dorgilzhav, president of the Institute of Finance and Economics, said during the meeting with NEFU executive staff. "More than 3,600 students, master’s degree students and postgraduates currently study Finance, Accounting, Marketing and other business-related fields", he added.

NEFU Rector Evgenia Mikhailova told about international educational programs and about double certification training. "International cooperation is one of the main aspects of our activity. The university cooperates with dozens of universities, colleges, research centers worldwide. The unique geopolitical situation of the university defines our priorities of cooperation, which primarily include the countries of the Asia-Pacific and the Arctic regions".

Training may be organized in the following way: a student studies at NEFU for the first year, for the second at IFE and during the last two years at one of the international partner universities of Mongolia Institute in South Korea, Taiwan, China, Cyprus and the United States under IFE double certification program.

In addition, within the cooperation the higher education institutions will conduct summer schools, short-term exchange programs, joint research projects.

Let us remember that North-Eastern Federal University has more than 60 partner universities. Since 2010, the university has been cooperating with universities of the Republic of Korea, Japan, China, the USA, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland. NEFU also cooperates closely with universities in the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland, the CIS and other countries.
