NEFU entered ARES-2014 Ranking of European Scientific and Industrial Chamber

The European Scientific and Industrial Chamber published Academic Ranking of World Universities-European Standard ARES-2014. NEFU took the 56th place among universities of Russia.

"The purpose of ARES-2014 ranking of universities is to evaluate the ability of universities to provide students with the necessary knowledge and the ability to actively communicate with future employers and to participate in research activities. The main parameters of ranking include such indicators as scientific activity, international cooperation, demand for university graduates, informational support, the level of academic staff professional advancement, international recognition of academic staff, membership in the European Academies of Sciences, awards issued by the departments of the European Chamber of Trade and Commerce and the European Commission, interaction with employers", NEFU Department for Strategic Development said.

The ranking included top 100 Russian universities: Moscow State University took the first position among them. North-Eastern Federal University took the 56th place among Russian universities, received an assessment BB+ as a university, which is characterized by reliable quality of teaching science and demand for graduates by employers. The top hundred also included four federal universities: the Ural, Siberian, Kazan and South.

"The difference of this ranking is that it is handled automatically, completely excluding the human factor. Over two thousand universities from around the world participated in the ranking", the university department noted.

ARES ranking is held by the EU standards. The ranking includes the universities, whose activities meet the European standards of education and research according to the results of 2014.
