NEFU student Ayisen Atlasov is one of the best jewelers at WorldSkills Russia-2015

On February 26-27, a regional championship of professional skills WorldSkills Russia-2015 in "Jewelry" was held at Yakutsk Industrial College.

Ayisen Atlasov, a 4-year student of the Department of Processing Technologies of Precious Stones and Metals of NEFU Institute of Physics and Technologies, took the second place in the championship. "This is the first time I participate in such contest, this experience was very useful. We have completed the task - made the badge of three elements to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory", Ayisen Atlasov said.

Students of educational institutions of Yakutia, studying «Jewelry», participated in the championship. The students have been producing a piece of jewelry for a given sketch for two days. The expert commission assessed works of the participants, which included managers and specialists of jewelry enterprises "EPL Diamond", "Zoloto Yakutii" and the Yakut Diamond Company.

According to the website of the Ministry of Professional Development and Staff Deployment of Yakutia, the championship took place in ten areas: hairdressing, repair and car service, welding technology, jewelry, network and system administration, cook, confectionery, web design, restaurant service and nursing care. Qualifying competitions will be held until 6 March, the winners will represent the republic in the semifinals of the National Championship World Skills Russia-2015 of the Far Eastern Federal District, which will be held this April in Yakutsk.
