NEFU expands cooperation with the leaders of the Asia-Pacific Region

North-Eastern Federal University received offers of cooperation in the field of student exchange and research at QS-APPLE international conference and exhibition of higher education leaders in the Asia-Pacific Region. Conference and Exhibition was held from 11 to 13 November in Taipei (Taiwan).

"Delegates from 231 Institutions in 37 countries participated at the 10th QS-APPLE Anniversary Conference and Exhibition to exchange valuable experience and knowledge. The exhibition serves as a starting point for cooperation between universities, there are negotiations on the organization of exchange programs, joint research, attracting of foreign students and teachers. Professor Batjargal Dorgilyav, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Financial and Economic Institute of Mongolia repeatedly visited NEFU stand. He told us that he plans to arrive in Yakutsk in February next year. I was glad to hear that students from Mongolia study at NEFU. Professor showed a willingness to discuss the possibility of students recruiting from Mongolia and the exchange of students between NEFU and Financial and Economic Institute of Mongolia, which is the largest educational institution of the country", the director of NEFU Institute of the East Naina Ksenofontova said.

Representatives of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Heidelberg (Germany) were interested in the exchange of students and PhD candidates, they agreed to come to NEFU to give lectures to students of technical specialties with pleasure. Heidelberg University is the oldest institution of higher education and most prestigious university on the territory of modern Germany. The university has eight Nobel Prize winners. Professor Chji-Yang Huang, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology of Asian University (Taiwan), was interested in scientific cooperation in the field of bionanotechnologies.

In addition, the following universities were interested in cooperation with NEFU: Kazakh National University, University of Malaya, Malaysia University of Technology, the University of Kuala Lumpur, Mahasaraham University (Thailand), National Taiwan Medical University (Taiwan), Dongguk University (South Korea), Inha Women's University (Republic of Korea), the School of Business at the University of Setis (Mexico), “Easy-Uni” the largest Asian online recruitment agency and others.
