NEFU to continue cooperation with Toyota and Bridgestone

The representatives of Toyota Motor Corporation and Bridgestone noted that they would like to adopt the unique operating experience of cars in severe climatic conditions. On November 18, delegation of the Japanese companies visited North-Eastern Federal University.

Aleksey Ermakov, NEFU Pro-rector for Technical Development, said that the test trials of cars have been carried out, but it is necessary to repeat them in January and February at the lowest temperatures. "Our partners glad to the fact that 62% of Yakutia population use Toyota cars. For further cooperation, it is necessary to evaluate the market situation, features, approaches to the auto business, how garages work, which inconveniences drivers have", the Pro-rector said.

At the meeting, they discussed the mechanisms of work on the temporary import of rubber for tires. After tests, rubber becomes withdrawal, and for this reason import to Japan for further testing is impossible. On these customs questions the decision on cooperation with representation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Yakutia was made.

Director of NEFU driving school Andrey Neustroev expressed opinion that business trip in the research centers of Japan is necessary for acquaintance with features of grounds work for successful introduction of Japanese experience. The parties pointed that would like to adopt the unique operating experience of cars in severe climatic conditions and further to adapt production for the Russian market.

NEFU and Bridgestone company cooperate the third year. Bridgestone is the largest in Japan and the world's second producer of tires. The main activity is production of tires and cameras for automobile and trucks, construction equipment and equipment for mining operations, the industrial equipment.
