Robot-cleaner and construction robot may get a ticket to the “Skolkovo”

NEFU young innovators represented nine best projects to the Russian leading experts within the frameworks of Russian Startup Tour. On April 1, the fifth stage of Russia’s largest road show of representatives of the innovative economy was held in Yakutsk on the base of North-Eastern Federal University.

According to NEFU Center for Commercialization of Intellectual Property, university projects relate mainly to the development of construction and transport complex, biotechnologies, information technologies and housing and utility sector.

One of the participants – Sergey Filippov, representative of the Institute of Physics and Technologies developed Scavenger, self-contained unit for territory cleaning, which makes cleaning of large areas: academic buildings, sports facilities and others. “The problem of pollution and territory cleaning is important. According to the developer, realization of this project – Scavenger cleaner - will be cost-effective solution. “Scavenger is an autonomous robot, which has several advantages over an ordinary man, he can’t get “ill” or “tired”.

Project “Diagnosis of breast cancer using the spectral biochemical analysis of blood serum (SBABS)” was represented in the field of medicine. NEFU student of the Institute of Medicine Kirill Komzin believes that the lack of effectiveness of diagnostic measures against malignancies is currently one of the main factors of the high mortality rate of this group of diseases. “Using this method will increase the effectiveness of treatment due to early detection of disease. Also the method will significantly reduce the risk of negative effects on the patient”, said he.

Semen Semenov, student of the Faculty of Road Construction presented automated robot for road construction. The robot has a wheel movement with pneumatic suspension and different manipulators for work. “The goal is to increase the efficiency in road construction. The robot can work in dangerous conditions. For example, explosion at a nuclear power plant or mine”, Semyon Semyonov said.

Let us remember that the best projects will be selected for the next stage of the federal Russian Startup Tour, including the opportunity to visit the “Skolkovo” Foundation for further cooperation.
